Prawn Milk Gravy

  • Prawns cleaned 300 – 500 grm
  • Coconut Milk 3 Cups
  • Onion½ cup Chopped
  • Tomato½ chopped
  • Green chillies 2 chopped (optional)
  • Chillie powder ½ – 1 tsp (if you can handle spice )
  • Roasted dill seeds1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Ginger and Garlic paste1 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick3 cm
  • Lime /lemon juice1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Combine all the ingredients to the coconut milk except the prawns cook forabout 7 minutes stirring continuously so that it does not curdle. When the onions are soft, reduce heat and add the prawns and let it cook for further 5 minutes. Switch off the cooker and add the lime juice.

Over cooking the prawns not only will shrink the size but also will become hard.
